A CLOUD-BASED SINGLE NETWORKING & SECURITY SOLUTION

What is SASE?

(pronounced SASSY)

SASE = Secure Access Service Edge

Secure Access Service Edge, or SASE, is an enterprise networking and security category introduced by Gartner. SASE converges SD-WAN, a Cloud Network, and Security Service Edge (SSE) functions, including FWaaS, CASB, DLP, SWG, and ZTNA, into a unified, cloud-native service.

With SASE, enterprises can eliminate the effort and costs required to maintain complex and fragmented infrastructure made of point solutions, reduce the risk for breach and data loss with optimal security posture, enable secure work from anywhere, and improve access to global applications on premises and in the cloud.

CATO SASE FOR CREDIT UNIONS

Digital Transformation = A Better Consumer Experience

Credit unions have deep, earned roots in their communities, with decades earning the trust of their members. Now, digital transformation is pivotal in the banking industry. Instead of viewing digitization as an obstacle to overcome, credit unions will want to recognize that it’s absolutely a huge opportunity to better serve their members, and attract new business. Younger consumers want a broader range of digital services that serves their needs.

Today, credit unions have to adapt to modern innovations to build healthier relationships with members. This has introduced new challenges for credit unions, including security, cost-effectiveness, and compliance.

Cato’s SASE cloud-native solution can ensure credit unions gain the benefits of digital transformation by providing a solution to these challenges - a single networking and security platform that enables your team to become fast, agile, and efficient.

CASE STUDY #1: GUARDIAN CREDIT UNION

Cato provided Guardian Credit Union with enhanced security, application control, and operational simplicity without layering on firewalls and other security services that would have increased their network complexity.

Cato also proved easy to understand, improving the productivity of the Guardian IT team. The IT team could troubleshoot problems quickly without requiring a great deal of networking expertise. “Anybody on our team now can go in and understand where traffic is flowing and how it’s working,” said their VP of Technology.

CASE STUDY #2: FORVIS (financial services)

With its ease of deployment, agility, fast networking, robust security, and consistent set of standards, Cato SASE Cloud provided Forvis (now Forvis Mazars) with the ideal solution to address its dual transformation and M&A challenges: Cato optimally connects all enterprise network resources, including branch locations, the hybrid workforce, and physical and cloud datacenters, into a secure global, cloud-native service.

“In addition to the highly regulated accounting industry, we practice in a lot of industries that have their own strict compliance standards,” said their CIO, “They want us to produce SOC 2 and other reports, so we need to know we have the systems, platforms, and controls in place to do so. We also work with a lot more third-party workers in North America and other continents who affect our security posture.”

CUSTOMER QUOTES

“We ran a breach-and-attack simulator on Cato, Infection rates and lateral movement just dropped while detection rates soared. These were key factors in trusting Cato security.”

- Danish multinational brewer

“What I have heard from my team is, ‘I love that the problems I’m solving on a day-to-day basis are on a completely different order than what I used to have to deal with before.’ They think about complex traffic problems and application troubleshooting and performance.”

— Director, technology, advisory, tax, and assurance

“Honestly, I was shocked to see how easy it was to set up and maintain an SD-WAN solution based on the whole CATO Dashboard. Now there’s a saying that with [the previous solution], you need 10 engineers to set it up and 20 engineers to keep it running. With Cato, this all went away. It’s in the dashboard. Within the hour, you understand the idea behind it and then you can just do it.”

QUICK ROI

Forrester Consulting conducted a TEI study of Cato Networks for evaluating the impact and ROI of Cato’s SASE cloud.

Before using Cato, the organizations interviewed in the report struggled with managing security and network services, with dedicated teams for VPN, internet, WAN, etc.
